The skills of communicators in the public sector


I have been many years the web information officer of the city in Finland. I think that the web information officer needs information technology skills, communication/social skills and graphic skills. Nowadays there are so much information that its good if communicators can bring forward essential and understandable information.You have to have courage.

Business leaders in Finland are not satisfied with the personnels digital skills (interviewed 648 business leaders). 74 % from business leaders experienced that the digital targets of company has not been achieved. They have brought information and communication technology to the old organisations and they have not changed their mode of operation. There has not been enough education. (Kauppalehti)
